End Piece

This sequence of maps, drawings, etc., should be seen as only a skeleton of all the information which could be compiled about the area.

It provides an opportunity for each child to research and compile a project on one particular house or home. Most of the project would be taken home, but a single sheet A4 summary and a file card cross referencing address, age, style, occupancy, etc., left in the library, could become a valuable source for future pupils, and be a good piece of systematic training in the way a resource is built and organised.

To the teacher, it means that the class is working on a common theme, using similar maps and reference materials, but each child's project will be individual.

Finally, I hope that this material will not be lost, but will be readily available for others to consult, correct and add to.
